University of Virginia, Subinvestigator. Investigated the utility of using contrast-enhanced (microbubbles) renal ultrasound to determine regional renal blood flow and comparing it to other methods used. 2007-2008

University of Pittsburgh, Renal and Electrolyte Division, Research Assistant. Gathered and analyzed data to investigate the quality of life of patients on hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis; research included sleep apnea, cognitive and mental studies. 2004

Collected and analyzed data focused on the diagnosis and treatment of acute cardiac ischemia in the emergency setting; research involved disease registries such as the National Registry of Myocardial Infarction (NRMI) and participating in palliative care projects. 2002 - 2003
